New Exporter Tool: Top Markets Series

Posted by Chelsea Mitchell on Jul 15, 2015 3:59:00 PM

The United States exported $2.34 trillion worth of goods and services during 2014, superseding the volume of any other year in history. As U.S. businesses consider expansion into global markets, it is important to investigate the competitiveness, opportunities and challenges of a particular market. Therefore, the International Trade Administration (ITA) recently introduced the new ITA Top Markets Series, a collection of reports designed to help exporters research and compare foreign markets.

The ITA Top Markets Series contains 19 sector-specific reports containing market intelligence and data to help exporters evaluate foreign markets. Each report includes commentary on the trends and outlook in the largest potential international markets. Exporters can access full reports or view over 200 pieces covering individual sections.

The Top Market Series covers the below sectors:

  • Agriculture Equipment
  • Aircraft Parts
  • Automotive Parts
  • Building Products and Sustainable Construction
  • Civil Nuclear
  • Cloud Computing
  • Cold Supply Chain
  • Education
  • Environmental Technologies
  • Health IT
  • Media and Entertainment
  • Oil and Gas
  • Recreational Transportation
  • Renewable Energy
  • Renewable Fuels
  • Semiconductors and Related Equipment
  • Smart Grid
  • Textiles and Apparel
  • Travel and Tourism

Each sector contains a full report, executive summary, sector snapshot, and country specific reports. Individual country reports include various statistics such as an overall rank, description of market and the global market share percentage held by that country. Most of the country reports also provide noteworthy political and legislative comments, available labor figures, and information regarding the country's infrastructure.
